Muskrat only appears in Tove Jansson's books Comet in Moominland (1955) and Finn Family Moomintroll (1956). In recent years, however, Muskrat has gained a lot of visibility in the Moominvalley animation series, which premiered in 2019. The mug is also known as Muskrat beige.
